The World Wild Fund is the world’s leading organization working towards the protection of our planet’s natural resources. The WWF Armenia office is committed to preserving Armenia’s diverse flora and fauna, which is considered as one of the richest in the region.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Armenia and WWF Armenia, we have developed a comprehensive brand platform for 13 protected areas of Armenia, including forests, national parks, and state sanctuaries.
The branding concept revolves around a unified idea: to bring together the distinctive flora and fauna of Armenian Protected Areas as the focal characters in the logo. The central characters of the logo are the remarkable species that inhabit these areas, seamlessly integrated with linear outlines of specific landmarks such as Khustup mountain, Tatev gorges, and Dilijan forests.
The suggested visual style also mirrored the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Armenia’s new brand identity. The challenge lay in merging two distinct concepts while preserving the individuality of each. Additionally, our task was to create a comprehensive brand guidebook for marketing materials, website and social media pages dedicated to the Protected Areas.
As a result, we assisted the WWF Armenia office in effectively communicating the new brand style in a cohesive manner. This, in turn, increased interest in the country’s landmarks and protected areas, positioning them as desirable touristic and hiking destinations that captured the attention of nature enthusiasts both within the country and abroad.
